Good to know
Which stores and countries work?
In the US: Aldi, Walmart, Trader Joe's, Costco and Kroger. In the UK: Tesco, Aldi, Lidl and Sainsbury's. Anywhere else, pick "Another store" and you get the same plan with general estimates you can edit.
Are the prices real store prices?
They are estimates, not live prices. We use typical pack sizes and prices for your region and adjust for the store you pick. Prices change by location and week, so tap any price in your list to set what you actually pay, and we remember it.
How do you make sure I hit my protein?
Each ingredient has standard nutrition values per 100g. We size the protein part of every meal so the day lands on your target (usually within about 5%), and add up calories, carbs and fat from the exact grams. The numbers on screen always match the recipe.
Is it good for GLP-1 users?
Choose "I'm on a GLP-1" in the quiz and your week uses smaller, protein-dense, gentle meals with a lower calorie target. It is a planning tool, not medical advice, so follow your prescriber's targets.
Can I avoid foods or eat vegetarian, vegan or halal?
Yes. Pick your diet and tick anything you avoid (fish, pork, dairy, eggs, nuts, soy, gluten and more). Those ingredients are never used, including in swaps.
What does it cost?
The quiz, your day 1 menu, its full breakfast recipe and your estimated receipt are free. Then it is 7 days free and $9/week after that. To cancel, tap the chat button in the app and message us, or use Manage subscription on your last free day. Cancel during the free week and you are not charged.
Why not just ask ChatGPT?
You can, and for a few meal ideas it works fine. What a chatbot leaves to you: checking that the protein really adds up (we size every portion in code from nutrition values per 100 g), turning recipes into a list of whole packs priced for your store, keeping that total under your budget, and redoing all of it when you swap a meal or start a new week. CartLean does those parts for you every week. If you enjoy doing that by hand, a chatbot plus a spreadsheet is a fine free option.
Do I get a new plan every week?
Yes. Once a week we build your next week and email it to you, and you can tap "New week" anytime. Each week learns from you: meals you mark Not for me or swap away do not come back, meals you keep skipping get quicker, and your pantry and last week's leftovers come off the list.
